Can't root for the Astros and I have the ability to separate Eagles and Phillies (understand they are the same fans, but it's different).
Astros. Philadelphia sports talk radio is so entertaining after Philadelphia teams lose.

I will root for the Phillies only after Eagles choke their next 2 games and 12/11
I'd like to see Dusty get his ring, but otherwise blech -- to heck with both of them. I don't plan to watch much of it. That said, it's an interesting match up: superior team against a lesser team with unbelievable momentum.

Phillies fans here. very frustrating regular season. amazing post season run. son was at last night's game. greatest sporting event of his life... by a lot. can't wait for tonight's game.

I like it when they can say "this hasn't happened since 1956." Even if the situations were completely different.
My 2025 is a "coaching genius" and is sure he would have won the game for the Phillies. First and third; 9 hole up; 1out. He yelled "Bunt" at the screen. Woulda moved the runner to 2nd. Schwarber hits that pitch right at 1st base. The 1B would have been off the bag more and the ball would have gotten through.
Mostly I just want to stop beating that dead horse on the metrics thread. That horse is rotting. Leave him alone.

That's pretty unprecedented after winning a WS. Apparently click didn't get along too well with both crane and dusty (i. E click didn't really want baker but a more data oriented younger manager).
