All right folks let's go on the record in the Super Regionals.
the pairings are
Michigan vs. Oregon State
UCLA vs. Cal St. Fullerton
Arizona St. vs Ole Miss
Wichita State vs. UC Irvine
and
Rice vs. Texas A&M
Louisville vs. Okla State
Miss State vs. Clemson
S. Carolina vs. N. Carolina

State your picks and then we can compare and see who can pick the most winners... have fun and remember, it's not gambling because I'm darn sure not going to pay you anything for getting them right.

Oregon State
Fullerton
ASU
UCI (sentimental choice Wink)
Rice
Oklahoma State
Clemson (DK leads the way! Cool)
South Carolina (just a hunch, but rooting for lil' Prepster Big Grin)

An interesting (to me at least) little tidbit. In my son's 2 1/2 years in college ball, he has pitched against the previous year's national champion and the soon-to-be (that year's) national champion each year. First half of this year's part of that equation already fulfilled (Oregon State). If that holds true again...it would narrow the field to Oregon State, Fullerton, UCLA and ASU of having the best chance of winning it all.

I believe ASU will win it all...they hit the heck out of the ball...and you'd better be ready to hit off some crafty lefties yourself.

Now IF those teams head to Omaha, I beleive the most experienced team will win it , again, OSU. Rice, UNC, CSF, Clemson all have returning players, that is what I based my picks on.

Teams with first year players come with stars in their eyes, get blown away by it all. Players returning kind of got the lowdown on what you got to do to get it done.

I remember this from Mitch, he told me they were going to win last year and he was right. They were the only team with returning players, even when coming from behind they KNEW what had to be done. Besides, they have a LOT to prove to everyone.

Hate those crafty lefties. Frown

I'll go on the record with
Wichita State (I love UCI but not enough ants in KS)
Oregon State (still the champs)
Cal St. Fullerton (great team plus Roemer)
Arizona St. (I love crafty lefties)
Rice (Owl be baack, and I'll be wearing one of those ugly unis)
Okla State (just plain ugly hats Wink)
Clemson (TPM)
N. Carolina (Prepster)

Karnak sees Rice and ASU facing off for the title, and ASU taking the last two.

I hope the western teams do as well as us fans. Bkecks, the MOOSE and I are each 7 for 8 and just is batting over 500 too! So much for bias agains the west here...western baseball rocks! (and the predictors ain't so bad, either!!!)

Rice may be favored by many, but I'm looking at 50/50 odds right now that the NCAA championship is going to reside out here somewhere on the left coast for another year.
