Warning, tissues needed.
if this does not get you in the right frame of mind when you down and feeling sorry for yourself then NOTHING WILL...........
That is incredible. What a wonderful young man.
We've had a boy on our team the last couple of years with only one arm. He is so determined and does such a good job that after a while, you don't even realize he only has one arm. That's his way of life and he's made the best of it. Just like Adam.
Great job boys! You are definitely an inspiration to those of us who complain about little things.

We had a 6th grade coach in our feeder basketball program that came up to me during tryouts, I was in the other gym with the 7th graders, and asked me to come over. He had a kid with one arm missing just above the elbow and wanted me to evaluate the kid. I asked him after watching the kid play for 30 seconds, what his evaluation was. He said the kid was not one of the top 10 but easily in the 10-15 range, and we were keeping 15 kids at that level.
I asked him what he needed me for then? He wasn't sure, being a feeder program, if we should be keeping a kid that we didn't think could eventually contribute at the varsity level. My response was that he may not show up in the stat sheets, but he'll make a world of contributions if he wants to. He's a junior now, and he did make the soph basketball team, not sure if he went out for varsity. But he did play varsity football this year. He's not overt and you don't have to make any excuses or concessions for the kid. He's accepted as one of the guys by his teammates, but outside of them, kind of quiet. To me, he's the kind of kid that makes me want to be a better person. I'm better off for having been around him, even just a little.
Jarthur, sorry to run your thread off the road a little. Good luck with your event, it always sounds like a great time is had by all.

No need whatsoever to apologize, it just draws more attention to it.
