Saw that a 12u pitcher threw 187 pitches and 3 games in ONE day at Cooperstown Dreams Park this week. I'm pretty sure this is as bad as it gets, but if anyone has heard worse I'd love to know. Also, heard about a 14u pitcher throwing 225 pitches in a two day tournament a couple weeks ago. Hope it's worth it to these coaches.

In my neck of the woods, 135-145 is tops for a 3 day Tournament at 14U, with a 95 pitch daily limit.
Hopefully they all had a delivery like Hough. Side question, in the age of the easily accessible internet encyclopedia, is the "parental ignorance" excuse permitted or should they be subjected to the same criticism as the child abusing coach?
In a game yesterday, 13 u pitched first game, after pitching an inning the second game he tells his parents sitting nearby his arm hurts, his mom says "no it doesn't" you better get out there and pitch...
Horrible to hear that.
Some of my kids get mysterious ailments when they aren't pitching well, but I always yank them if they say they have pain. Better safe than sorry. I learned the hard way with my own kid when he was 12. He was simply too thin and skinny, and needed more strength for him to pitch consistently.

Cooperstown still got their $$$$, so they won't mind
At 15U we had a coach who refuse to loose to us throw his only real pitcher 175+ pitches before he yanked him. It was only when the kid told him he could not lift his arm anymore that he pulled him. I was working the book that day and said something to him around the 130 pitch mark he told me to "shut up and stop worrying about his kids".
In a HS soph game we had a school throw their kid somewhere around 140 pitches in 40 degree weather, 1st game of the season. It was a semi rival school who was not in our district, again didnt want to loose against us.
I witnessed a twelve year old at Cooperstown All Star Village in Cooperstown pitch 128 pitches, mostly off speed stuff/junk. Adults will do the dumbest things to try to win a baseball game. I was on the ipad entering action into Gamechanger. Coach was an ass-hat and thought we were trying to get a competitive advantage by letting him know his players pitch count once he passed 90.
This is insanity! I'm so glad my 2020's coach is focused on limiting overuse and keeping them healthy for the long haul.
