What weekly routine would you recommend for a pitcher who will be pitching as well as position playing in tournaments each weekend through the summer? Mid-week bullpen? Continue the strength training program, or lay off? Long toss? Etc.

Thanks

Texan,
I am not the expert, but I can tell you what my son does. Rest and light cardio the day after an outing. More running and stretching during the week, mid week bull pen. More running and stretching during the week. Instruction, more running and stretching. Rotator cuff excercises with rubber bands.
That is his routine and what works for him, during season, everyone is different.
Depending on what position you will be playing, you might just want to work on pre game warm up. Some don't continue strength training while playing, some do.

Texan, oh? Ya know what I "love"? Taking 15 minutes of my time to carefully construct a PM to someone who seems pissed about having not had any replies, and then not even getting a thank you in return. That's what I "love".
