Pitcher tags base-stealer; Balk?

Noboby out, runner at second with a righty on the mound. Runner is not held and takes HUGE lead. Pitcher steps off (behind the rubber)with his right foot. Runner stays put, daring a throw. Pitcher runs at runner with ball. Runner is surprised, slips and stumbles. Pitcher tags him out. Was pitcher's maneuver legal?

YES!!! Once a pitcher legally disengages the rubber, he can do anything any fielder can do.....including running at a player and tagging him out........

Not sure where you would see a balk being considered in this.......

Pitcher stepped off the rubber, so he's a fielder....nothing wrong.
