The $500 will be well-spent when you see the exposure and benefit you son will receive from being on the Perfect Game radar. They are pros at this and they understand that players are not at their peak performance capability during the winter. They see through the rust and can evaluate accurately. It's an important first step if you want to be competitive at the higher levels of baseball. Lastly, you can call PG and speak to any member of the staff you like. They are the most accessible organization I've ever seen. Every one of your concerns can be answered right there.
Baseballdad1228,
I see you made it back OK from sunny Arizona.
How,s the weather in NJ, are you able to practice?
I was impressed with your son's ability, great arm, very good at bats.
Any way are you and your son going to attend this PG event for pitchers and catchers.
I,m still up in the air about it, I know it would be great for my son since most of the time he goes to events as a OF,LHP. He hits to well to go just as a Pitcher.
With the Quality of Catchers that would be there, he would
get to pitch more than just FB,Ch.up,CB.
He has other one,s that he's working on that will just buckle the batters knee's. splitter, Knuckle curve.
You have to have a good catcher like your son to catch that stuff. he's not able to use those pitches much in HS. I believe I will see alot of dropped third strikes this year in HS ball.

If you do go let me know and maybe I'll send my son.
He has the invite, just trying to find the time. Its a busy time of year, and were also looking at visits to colleges at that time period. The EH
Thanks EH, it was great to meet you and see your son play. He's a talented player. Let me know when he settles on school.

Thanks for the nice words on Mike. The two weekends away from the cold helped him get some timing back for a workout with the Indians last Saturday.

If he does anything else, it will be a PG event. I'll let you know as soon as I do.

It has been on again off again drizzle rain around here, but today is sunny and warm. Where headed to a local Juco game right now as I write. The season is here.
I know the Pitcher/Catcher showcase would be a more one on one type event, and being filmed also would be a plus.
I'm not sure about live batters, but that might be a plus also.
Pitchers could just pitch and show there stuff without worrying about Batters/Runners even though that is part of the game.
Take care. The EH
