Baseball fans and players,

This is Michael Modica, former GMU, and Houston Astro pitcher. I am currently living in the area, and working out of Pitcher's Edge, which is located in Tyson's Corner, as a pitching instructor.

I played 4 years at GMU, and was the first GMU pitcher to ever be named to the College Baseball All-American Team after compiling an 11-2 record during my senior season. 2nd All-time in career strikeouts and Innings Pitching, and 3rd in Career wins at GMU. I was drafted 3 times throughout my career. 1st by The Philadelphia Phillies as a Senior out of Washington Township High School, than the Houston Astros my Junior and Senior seasons at GMU.

I Recently I have moved back to the Fairfax area to pursue classes at GMU. I have been working in New Jersey the past 5 off-seasons as a pitching instructor, where I was very successful in training young ball-players and helping them reach their goals. I am new to the area in terms of pitching instruction, which is what led me to the Virginia Prep baseball forum. Feel free to contact me regarding pitching workouts this fall and winter to prepare for this upcoming baseball season.

I look forward to working with some of you in the near future.

Best of luck on this upcoming season!!!

Michael,

Welcome! It's always great to have a former player join us! I'm going to make a shortcut from this intro post to our Pitching forum since members who check out that forum would probably be interested to know that you are here.

I hope you'll have a chance to visit and help out with some of the questions about pitching... you obviously have a lot that you could share with our members.

Julie
