My 10 yo had practice last night and I was watching one of our better pitchers throw a short bullpen  I am not an expert by any measure, but did point out to his dad (who was catching) that it seemed like the kid's wrist was rather rigid and was practically 180 degrees both taking the ball back as well as at release - almost no flex whatsoever.

Not looking for any super high end instruction, but wanted to get some opinions on how the wrist should work during an ordinary fastball delivery.  Also, not sure how much flex this kid has when throwing in the field, but any suggestions on how to get the wrist loosened up (thinking casual drills - not the time to be making major changes) would be appreciated.  He throws pretty hard without the wrist and figure he could either throw harder with some flex or may maybe simply throw more relaxed and maintain his current speed.
