How do u think Pitt and Notre Dame adapt to the ACC? Could these two end up having Boston College type issues (weather, recruiting) in the ACC?

Pitt and Notre Dame were pretty good Big East programs in their own right just by looking at the conference, conference RPI, records of each team, and who they played. With that said, they will not dominate the ACC either. It is going to take a while to develop programs that overcome perennial contenders in the ACC, and it is going to take a lot of talent. The way I look at it the recruiting territory is "ripe" because it is a new market(s) for the ACC. Previously, you may have had a few recruits coming south to latch onto one of these programs. Now and in the future, it is a different situation as an ACC program has come to them.
Boston Colleges' issues are Boston College's issues and not universal IMHO. By the way Syracuse baseball is undefeated or winless depending on how you look at things. The ACC is a tough, tough conference. It has taken Virginia Tech (approx. 9) years to be competitive in the ACC, and I think they've finally got there. Pitt and Notre have some work to do.
I agree, I think the transition could be tough for Pitt & ND and could lead to being a ACC doormat for a while. I wonder what bearing this has on Pitt and UND recruiting. I'm sure it's being used as a positive.
I believe joining the ACC will aid Notre Dames baseball recruiting. Its Notre Dame and its in a better baseball conference now.
My son visited BC a few times actually. And very true, the facilities are not a strong selling point. But he really like the coaching staff.
