Hey all. I usually don't do things like this but I thought these two kids deserved recognition.

Two current/former Midwest Blazer players have been selected as Gatorade players of the year for their respective state.

LHP Tony Butler from Oak Creek HS was named the WI player of the year. Tony is a senior and has signed with Arkansas.

SS D.J. LeMahieu from Brother Rice HS was named the MI player of the year. DJ is just a junior and will play with the Blazers again this fall.

Congrats to these fine young men!

Wow! I wonder if either of you could possibly be more condescending? Your attitudes are the reason why most of the Midwest can't stand people from Chicago.

JP, (and my other IL friends please don't take the aforementioned personally)

Daryl has done well for the Hogs this year. I spoke with Dave Jorn (pitching coach) this summer and he told me that Daryl has the best stuff on his staff and that if he puts the mental part of it together he'll be a big leaguer.
