Have any of you started personal websites to put your baseball accomplishments for recruiting purposes (HS players)... an online baseball resume?

What are your thought on creating one? Useful? Waste of time?

If you know of any individual player sites, please post them so I can take a look at the type of content on them.

Thanks

I put one together last year using wix.com and it looks neat but IMO is not worth the effort. Help him get organized with an email list and work it to keep the programs that are interested informed. Links to youtube videos work well. It seem like coaches have their own systems to keep track of kids and they are not going to be searching around on various websites.

I agree, what better reason to email the coach with an update to your information.

We just made a simple short you tube . kept it less than 2 mins . Game footage , 5 at bats . We sent the link to coaches w some basic info , size , speed , position played and GPA and SAT score . Sending the Video made a huge difference . My son committed to UGA in June . The video gave him exposure , even out to the West Coast and Pro scouts . College coaches dont have alot of time in the spring to look at players , they do have time to open a attachment . Good Luck !

Don't just put up a video on a site. Store the video in some format and email it to coaches. Also provide a link to the site. Keep it under two minutes. Don't make it highlights. Anyone can do that. Make it consistant, proper mechanics. My son sent out fifty and got twenty responses.
