My opinion..the only way to clean the game up is to sweep out the trash. Right now, it's not a question of who is using banned substances...you have to wonder who isn't.

MLB isn't allowed to test for HGH, and there are designer steroids available that can't be detected by MLB's testing program. Roughly 1/3 of the 500 HR club has joined that elite group since the "steroid era" began. Most people would see that as being more than coincidental.

There are alot of opinions out there regarding the effect of steriods on baseball. It is debated daily, especially as Bonds approaches the record.
Here is my concern, and should be the concern of everyone at HSBBW.

What if steriod/HGH use is truly widespread in pro baseball, will our boys that are fortunate enough to fulfill their dream be forced into doing something that they do not want to do, but HAVE to do in order to compete?
I know my sons passion for baseball, and if he ever made it, who knows what he might do. Especially if he is competing with players that ARE using.
We can debate Barrys fat head and the records, but steroid use could hit close to home for some of US.
