Playoff Scores (May 5th - 7th)

Southlake Carroll takes game 1 from Plano East 5-1. The game was played at East and was close until a bases loaded, 3 run double by McLemore in the top of the 6th broke open a 2-1 game. John Curtiss was the winning pitcher, going 6 innings, allowing 2 hits and 1 earned run. SLC played errorless ball in taking a 1-0 advantage into game tomorrow at 4:00PM at SLC.

Wasn't at the game, but I have friends who were... HP beats Centennial on walk-off, opposite field HR in 8th inning.

Keller beat Hebron in Game 1 of best-of-3.

Looks like 7-5A took the measure of 8-5A tonight with Coppell beating Flower Mound, Keller over Hebron and as previously mentioned SLC over Plano East. Plano plays a one games against Guyer tomorrow night in the 4th match up.

Yes, a 2 run dinger that curled around the foul pole. HP wins 3-1. I think HP was shocked that Centennial hung around.

but I really enjoyed seeing some good baseball all season in 7-5A. Playing in a great district really helped my son to continue developing his skills each and every week.

Good game last night between Southlake and Plano East. Curtiss is the real deal with a nasty slider and curve ball. Hey doubleday can you answer this question for me? Why no lights at Southlake? Zoning laws? Surely one of the richest school districts in the state can afford lighting at it's facilities.

It's a pain for us too man...if you come to the game today you'll notice a neighborhood behind the outfield wall. They've somehow been able to successfully lobby Carroll ISD all these years to keep lights from being installed. Heck, they even complain about the music being played during afternoon games. If you come over today you'll basically be watching a baseball game in the middle of a construction zone so don't be alarmed...and don't wash your car/truck before you come

Tough game today...Plano East scrapped every step of the way so congrats to your kids for never giving up. Yes, my son is the SS for SLC.

SLC over Plano East 13-11 to take the series and move on...East was a tough opponent and congrats to their kids for a great year.

Saw on the DMN website that Irving beat Mansfield Legacy 8-7 tonight to even the series. What is the time and location of game 3 Saturday?

Looks like the bi-district round is complete between 7-5A and 8-5A. Southlkae Carroll, Coppell and Keller advance from 7-5A while Plano is the lone 8-5A team moving on to the next round.

hats off to Kyle Clausing (NF pitcher)...very gutsy complete game...tough L for the kid, he really battled

Agree Marcos about the NF pitcher! Very gutsy performance. It was a great game and worth the price of admission.

Both teams battled. NF's DH #9 got them going in the 2nd and it was on from then on. It was fun to watch, and the atmosphere is what you want at a playoff game. Hats off to both teams!

Does anyone have a Friday Night score from the Wakeland vs. Rockwall game?

Its Saturday AM and the score is still not on the DMN website.

Apparently Wakeland won Friday night. Do not have details.
