I may be getting assigned to a job in Portsmouth NH and am looking for some information on the best high schools in the area. When I say best I mean academics then baseball. Specific to baseball a program that conducts baseball activities (off season conditioning etc) year round and is known for developing pitchers. Thanks.

We have been very happy w/ St. Thomas Aquinas in Dover. As far as the off season stuff... in NH you are not supposed to have offseason team stuff run by a coach. In the Seacoast however there is a train facility in Newington (USA Traning Center) that has LOTs of instruction and conditioning available. They have an AAU program - Mavericks that works in the offseason. Dave Hoyt runs a very good program.
I agree with kpc89 on both counts. St. Thomas is an excellent school. Virtually all of their seniors go on to college. It is a private school, however, so you would have to pay tuition. St. Thomas and Portsmouth High School played in the championship game last year in Class "I", the 2nd highest division in the state. PHS is the two-time defending state champs, and is riding a 40+ game winning streak. They will both be competitive again this year, and in the foreseeable future. PHS is a fairly strong public school academically, ranking in the top ten in the state in a few different measures.
USA Training Center has a nice indoor facility, and their pitching instructors include former Red Sox pitcher Bob Stanley.
Good luck!
