When I was in High School our Summer Coach had us wear pants, either Ball pants or Jogging/Sweat Pants that we could get dirty in. The T-Shirt could of been anything that didn't have anything that would offend anyone, and then we had to wear our ball hat, but not the team hat that we'd wear in games.

My first College we could wear Ball pants or Shorts which ever we preferred. A dark coloured t-shirt and a Baseball hat, again not the hat we'd wear in games.

The College I'm at now we have to wear Practice Team Baseball Pants, Stirrups, Belt, Team Shirt and Team Hat (all of which is provided by the school)
Found out last year that for some reason, kids will wear $50 + Abercrombie pants to practice. When we do our live baserunning drills, kids do not slide or are upset when they are required to slide. This year we will wear baseball pants in practice, unless the temp is below 40. Then they just stay warm, we won't be sliding much on those days anyways.

We believe in the saying, you play like you practice. When you play, you wear a uniform. Practice should be no different in my opinion.

I like that!

I totally agree, if we are on the field, they are in full practice gear ready to practice/play at 100%.

If they are just in the batting cages, then there is some leigh way of being in shorts.
My son's HS it was the same "Cleats, socks, baseball pants (white only), belt, team issued practice jersey and team issued hat. However, it had to be clean every day. The only place kids were allowed to dress was in the locker room and you could not leave the locker room without changing into your school clothes.

Your baseball atire was to be worn on the field only. Hats were on straight or you were likely to get a stern talking to the first time and then it was not so pleasant.

If you wanted to play baseball; you had to look and act like a baseball player (not basketball, z****r, or any other sport).
