It looks like we will be inside all week and miss two scrimmages this week. I got some ideas from the "up-tempo practice ideas", but I was thinking of having the team we were suppose to scrimmage Friday come to our indoor work out and practice against them.

So.....what would be some drills, competitions, etc. that we could compete against each other. Try to cover all parts of the game....pitching, hitting, fielding, baserunning, etc.

PS. space is not a factor. We have an area the size of a football field indoors with two drop down cages. The only thing we can not do is hit fly balls.

Awesome idea. I'd do a bunt scrimmage, for sure.

Maybe something also where OF tries to throw out runners. You could put a runner @ 2b and challenge the OF to throw them out at the plate. Fungo groundballs to them or have them start with a ball in the glove, whatever works. Maybe the 2nd round of that game could be a tag up at 3b game where someone just tosses them a "flyball" and runner goes at first touch. Keep score.

You could actually split your teams and do like a 9 v 9 bunt scrimmage and a 9v9 OF game at the same time is space allows.

I've also really liked some of the tee scrimmages we've been doing indoors this week.
