South Granville 08 RHP 3B Pratt Maynard gave a verbal to Coach Elliott Avent and the Wofpack today. I am so proud of my boy Pratt. He has been a stud for us his entire career and I have coached him since he was 6 years old. This is his dream school folks he has always wanted to be a part of the Wolfpack's program. This makes the second ACC player from our program this year. I am so proud of Pratt. I love this kid like my own son.

Big congrats to Pratt Lee. I know he is happy that his school of choice came through. Congrats to you also Coach May. I know you helped facilitate this deal. Sometimes you have let folks know you mean business, right? Hey, that's 2 ACC guys from S. Granville, and 4 from the old Thunder(if the Clemson guy sticks). If the old Thunder coach lands an ACC job......somethings up!
Hey K, Not bad for a bunch of boys from the old Thunder Team what do you think!!! I dont think these three guys could have found better fits. Im so proud of Mac , what a great kid. And Pratt is going to a place that he will fit right in at. Awesome stuff!! Tell Mac I miss our card games. I finally found someone that loves to play as much as me. We are still undefeated!!
Coach May - Pretty amazing. It has been a blast watching these guys and seeing them find what's right for them. For all those reading this thread I'd say, "be proactive, but trust the process. Everybody's timetable is a little different, so don't expect the same outcomes at the same time." Things really do seem to have a way of working out the way they should if you work hard, study hard and never give up on the dream. I know there are many who are surprised by what some of these young men in NC are accomplishing. It's funny, many of the ones who were a "sure thing" at 11 or 12 (and were convinced that they were a sure thing) are nowhere to be found now. While those other guys, the ones you didn't hear much about, just kept their heads down, grinding it out and kept plugging along. And I'd tell them to put their heads right back down and go back to work! There's a lesson in there somewhere.

Mac's up for a card game anytime. And given how competitive you both are, I'm not surprised to hear that you two as a team are undefeated!

(Tell R to give me a call sometime so we can catch up.)
How very true. I will tell R to call you and catch up. She cried like baby last night talking to Angie. It was a very special night as you can imagine. I think it was close to 2am before we could go to sleep. What a special feeling to see these boys realize their dreams. And yes as long as Mac and I are on the same card team we WILL stay undefeated.
