In Southern WI we've had up to 21 inches of snow today with blizzard conditions. From what I've heard hundreds of cars and over 1000 people on the interstate outside Madison have been at a dead stop since the early afternoon with windchills in the single digits. The National Guard has been called in for rescues and snowmobile clubs are now transporting gas and food to the stranded. I have two cars in my driveway and they are both drifted over, like there not there, and I haven't seen a car on a road since mid-day. I've lived in the State for 51 years and never witnessed a whiteout sun-up to sun-down. We've had 80 inches of snow this winter and usually average 30 with Feb and March statistically the snowiest months. We Wisconsinites are a hardy bunch without a whine, but our sick and elderly who are stranded could use a good thought from you all.
