My heart is heavy.
I have been sending prayers up all day and will continue for a long time to come.
I will be sending my son off to college this fall and cannot imagine what those parents and fellow students are feeling at this moment.

I know most of us here either have known or do know someone who is attending VA Tech and our prayers go out to them and the victims of this tragic, horrific incident. One cannot imagine what loss the families of 32 people have endured.
I am sad to announce that a co-worker, a member of our armed forces, and Tidewater resident has sufferd such a loss, his lovely daughter (Lauren McCain)was among the list of victims. Please say a special prayer for her and her family. May God be with them and with the "Hokie" nation.

I am devastated by the loss that these families and the Virginia Tech community have suffered. May God hold them closely in the coming days, weeks, and years.
