Humble High School baseball coach David Sitton was involved in a serious motorcycle-auto collision Monday evening in the Atascocita area. He was transported by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital and is undergoing extensive surgery today for multiple broken bones.

Coach Sitton, a graduate of Humble High, has served as the HHS head baseball coach for 25 years. He is the current president of the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association and has been batting practice pitcher for the Houston Astros for 10 years. Many of you know the Sitton family. Thank you for keeping them in your thoughts and prayers today. We will share updated information when it is available.

10:00 a.m. the bleeding on the brain has increased a little, which has prevented them to preform the surgery to the pelvis. They are preforming another CT at 12:00 p.m. to see if the bleeding has slowed.

3:00 p.m. they are putting an umbrella in to prevent a blood clot from busting and causing more damage.

8:00 p.m. we received an update that the two masses on the brain are shrinking and the blood is being absorbed into the body like it is suppose to.

They have moved his status from critical to guarded. He is still not fully out of the woods but it looks like we are getting there.

Please keep all the prayers & positive thoughts coming! The family greatly appreciates it!

10:00 a.m. this morning they took a MRI & we are waiting on those results.

12:00 p.m. he is responding well to visitors. He has opened his eyes a little and has lifted his arm. They are starting to slow down the medication a little to see how he responds.

Please keep the prayers coming! The family greatly appreciates it!

Please post your thoughts & well wishes to David on his guestbook and to the family on their guestbook.

I just saw Coach Sitton down in Waco on Friday. My prayers go out to him and his family. He is truly one of the best ambassadors for Texas High School Baseball out there.

I was informed of this on Tuesday afternoon.

Also, keep Lubbock Monterey Head Coach Fred Oliver and his family in your prayers. Fred had a death in his family on Monday, very tragic.

Kevin, keep us updated.
