I wanted share this message as I became informed of Tyler Quinn's battle when Kyle Smallwood posted something on facebook earlier this week and I told Kyle that I wanted to help spread the word with hopes to raise more funds for Tyler.

I asked Kyle to get me more background info and the following is what he shared with me:

Tyler played baseball at Sherando and graduated in 2012.  He also played for Winchester Post 21 for two seasons (2010-11) where he played first base and pitched for both teams.

Then, Tyler moved on to college at Johnson Bible College (Johnson University) to become a minister and play baseball as well.

Unfortunately, he was diagnosed his Freshman year of college and had to postpone going to school.

He is battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  He recently had a bone marrow transplant at Johns Hopkins and is now required to stay in a apartment across from the hospital for 3 months for his daily treatments and follow ups.  He has also been at UVA hospital many times and University of Tennessee hospital as well.

Kyle Smallwood, asst. Post 21 Winchester legion coach said, "Tyler has always gone out of his way to help others and is a true follower of God and Jesus Christ and it showed in his every day life."

Tyler has always brought a positive attitude toward any situation and even tries to be a positive supporter in the hospital toward other patients as witnessed by many who know him personally.

When Kyle spoke with Tyler recently, he wanted to pass along one message.  He said,"God has been side by side with me through this and is making good out of what is seen as a bad situation. That's pretty much my main message." said Tyler Quinn.

The facebook group for him is Praying for Tyler Quinn

There are bracelets in his name that are being sold for $2.00 that say "Team TQ Colossians 3:17" on them.

Anyone wishing to help Tyler in his fight ... there is a Leukemia fund set up at http://www.gofundme.com/tylerquinn

Anything that anyone gives will be more than what he has now.

Tyler's aunt Terri and uncle Dave Stewart from Queen Creek, AZ created the gofundme campaign which is described as follows:

My Nephew Tyler Quinn is battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  He recently had his bone marrow transplant at John's Hopkins and is now required to stay in a apartment across from the hospital for 3 mos. for his daily treatments and follow ups.  Costs are beginning to rise as they are paying out of pocket for the apartment, food, medications and normal day to day living.  Insurance covers a lot of the costs but there are many things they do not.  Please consider making a small donation that will help relieve some of the family's stress and help him to be able to focus on getting better and not worrying about finances.

I found some Post 21 Winchester baseball pics of Tyler:

His own personal FB page ... https://www.facebook.com/tyler.quinn.1

To close, I know the baseball community is always strong and if anyone is willing to donate just a little something, that will be more than what he has now and will go a long ways to help Tyler and his family fight this battle.

Thanking you for taking the time to read and please share.

Respectfully,
JEFF
