Does anyone have the pitcher on the mound during In & Out? If so, is he throwing a few pitches off the mound or is he just fielding his position?

I have always had my pitcher in the bullpen, but last year there was a couple teams that we played that had the pitcher on the mound throwing a few pitches to their catcher, then fielded from that position. I just wasnt sure how many coaches actually did that.
Ours have always been in the bullpen....one exception, I had a player that performed better when he took infield at his secondary position after warming up. I think it kept his mind occupied and help him relax.
