Predictions: (NL)
The NY Mets surge past the Phillies on the last day of the season to capture the NL East.

Milwaukie wins the NL Central wire-to-wire with the Cubbies 2nd, lagging 14 games back.

Colorado imports some real air and starts taking advantage of the airport they play in, beating San Deigo by a single game in the NL West.

San Diego, garnering 107 wins for the first time ever, wins the wild card by 1 game over the Phillies.

The Marlins, in a fire sale, send all of their pitching to Detroit for a player to be named later. They fail to win a game this season.

American League:
Tampa Bay's roof is blown off by an early season tropical storm, enabling them to finally see the ball. Consistent afternoon rains don't seem to hamper the young club as they equip all players with flippers .... TB in a run away in the AL East.

Cleveland rediscovers that baseball needs pitchers, raid the failing Red Sox of their rotation and squeezes by Detroit (who picked up the Marlins pitchers) by 1 game.

Texas discovers that money IS everything, joyfully start paying the rest of their team and are rewarded with a 110 win season.

Detroit's revamped rotation, with the strong hitting of "kinda left-out player of the year" and AL MVP, Pudge Rodgiquez (by a ballot sweep) wins the wild card.

Series
Texas plays the Mets in the Series, but it ends on November 29th, still tied at 1032-1032 going into the top of the 117th inning of game 1.

Georgie, seeing the lost revenue from the series that never ends, sells the Yankees to Ted Turner. Ted moves them to Savannah.

I don't think you can get to this point just by smoking. Your meds must have been real strong.
Although the runs allowed/inning does look about rite for the Rangers this year.

Not a chance fellas.

It's the Mets in a runaway.

They clinch the National League East by early August.
Walk through the NL playoffs.

Then they meet the Red Sox in the World Series - go to 7 games - and win the final game when they bring Mookie Wilson out of retirement - he pinch hits in the 9th with the score tied and a man on third - and Mookie delivers a clutch ground ball that is booted by the first baseman. Game over.

Metsies win.

Thats my story - and Im sticking to it.
