Prep Baseball Prospect Identification showcase

I live in Illinois and Prep Baseball is hosting this Prospect Identification showcase event in June. I am wondering if it is something my son(2015) should look at attending. They claim that if there are any standouts at the event,they will be invited to the Top Prospect Showcase 2 days later,free of charge. Has anyone attended one of the these events and is it worth showing up.My son is a decent player but really hasn't got himself out there to be exposed.Any thoughts would be helpful.
