we have a few schools in nh with a pg year, most aren't really known for their baseball. more basketball and hockey. a trip to brewster or new hampton to watch a basketball game is well worth the trip.
prep schools with a pg year. brewster academy, holderness, kimball union, new hampton, oliverian, phillips exeter, proctor academy, tilton school, the white mountain school.
another thing to consider is NCAA qualifying, the NCAA only looks at your 1st 4 yrs of HS now. This limits the PG (post grad.) from significantly changing his GPA with a 5th yr. check the details, but i believe it is only 1 or 2 corses that can count toward NCAA qualifying core GPA.

Most schools even loomis have "tips" for impact PG's each sport. In most cases has a limit of 3-4 pg's and are usually typically a pitcher). The founders league is usally the strongest with each team loading up a pitcher or two. AOF, Loomis Salisbury, Kent, Hotchkiss. The prep season is short, but includes a FLA trip for most schools and 20+ games. Scouts at most games esp. bigger matchups. AOF v. Salisbury

after a senior year the adv. to doing a PG year is that the player gets another shot at a "junior yr summer" recruiting and or get some scores up, live away from home and grow up. Most PG's are signed by the that spring, rarely is one picked up duing that extra spring season.
