Some of the prep teams have real talent and depth (Salisbury-Dwyer, Hewitt, Avon Old Farms-springer etc. ) and could play with anyone in the state, other teams have 2-3 kids that could beat you with a really good day.

the big difference is there are a bunch of preps that go up and down depending on who is at the school. The publics in CT have a pipeline from local youth baseball. the towns with good development usually have good teams. the influx of talent is not as consistent year to year

some of the adv. or prep ball--most preps do a spring trip to FL and have no limit to how many games they play, Sat usually means 9 inn. games or few schools will play 2 on a sat. I just wish they had some kind of postseason, other spring prep sports do (ie Lax and Softball)
