Like the feeling you get when you are waiting for the opening kick off to drop into your hands - or the first pitch of a big game - or the opening bell of round 1 etc.....

I bet you that whatever level your kid is playing at - whatever they are aiming for this season - those "jitters" are starting to bubble up.

And in another month or so - those "jitters" are really gonna kick in.

Pretty exciting IMO.

As a former competitor - I know I lived for that feeling.
And as a parent - I still feel them.

Thank God for them jitters - IMO.

Things are exciting. I don't know exactly when my son's opportunity will come being a freshman, but I think it will and hope he can take advantage of it. Calling down for daily updates on practice and it does sound like a full time job - he loves it though. This is what it is all about though, playing at the next level, whatever the next level happens to be Smile
I'm going to the OU baseball preseason banquet this coming Friday and I've already got the "jitters" because I realize that this is the signal that the 2006 season is about to begin. I have been anxiously awaiting the start of this season but at the same time I am nervous. My son is coming off a medical redshirt year and I just want him to have an injury-free season and to play to his potential. nervous

I guess as long as our sons play the game, we parents will probably feel the "jitters" much more than our sons. Smile
That adrenalin rush is a good thing as long as you don't let it interfere with your perfprmance.
Our sons have practiced hard and played at a high level preparing them selves for this comming season. I call my son once or twice a week and he seemd very ahxious to get the season under way. As a freshman he has to do the best he can with every oportunity he gets.
His team just started scrimmages a few days ago so we don't bother him too much. The only way I can find anything out is talking with his buddies who chat with him on line. Thank god for computers.
