How can I determine if/how much scar tissue I have built up in a certain area of my body? As I posted earlier, I'm doing PT for my shoulder, and I have been making great progress, and my shoulder and RC feels better all the time, except when I throw. The best way to describe the problems when I throw is that I have limited flexibility and it takes forever to warm up. Is this a product of scar tissue build up or could it be something else. I do dynamic stretching before I throw and static stretching after, so I don't think it is flexibility, but I'm really not sure at this point and any help would be appreciated. I know I should ask my physical therapist about this, but I'd like an idea of what it could be before I go back in a couple of days.

Yes, I have had a fair share of injuries to this shoulder which is why I think that scar tissue is a possibilty, especially since all the once injured parts of my shoulder are getting close to 100% after rehab finishes in two-three weeks for me. Also, I know from a friends experience that his knee had limited flexibility after surgery, even though he could lift weights and run for a short period of time just fine. But he needed to get the scar tissue removed before he got his flexibility and full use of his knee back. Now he has no problems and says he doesn't feel any pain where he got hurt.
Football player son has had 2 shoulder surgeries. First to repair torn labrum. 1 1/12 yrs later scoped to remove scar tissue because of persistent pain. Cleaned out and now pain free and good range of motion. Some people build up scar tissue and some don't. BTW, this did not show up on a contrast MRI prior to the 2nd surgery.
