Congrats to Rockwall's Preston Clark and Rowlett's Brandon Loy.

Loy (Texas) missed a walk-off slam against Army in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game at 10 and represent the winning run on 2nd.

After 2 walks, Preston Clark steps up and delivers the walk-off slam to left field on the first pitch he sees.

I've always been totally against unreasonably high pitch-counts ... as this one seems to be. Someone previously pointed out that he averaged only 13 pitches per inning.

Just wondering if anyone has seen or heard of any research on how much of an offsetting factor that is? Or is that a topic for a new thread?
I heard after 34 pitches the kid had so much sweat running down the brim of his hat that a fan asked Skip if he was healthy enough to continue.

Soon there after, the kid drank the whole cooler of Gatoraide and rehydrated his body to the point he was ready to go another 57 pitches.

When the kid complained that his bladder was about to pop, the coaching staff was decided to teach him a lesson for drinking all that flavored sugar water and said "you will just have to pitch until you sweat it all out again".

So the kid eventually did, but to prove a point he drank another jug of Aide.......this time Kool Aide.......

You know, the same thing you all drink in regards to the pitch count topic.

Augie, Skip, the whole UT staff..........

OFF WITH THEIR HEADS.............
