This past weekend, I went and saw two of my former pitcher throw against each other in college. Wow was that fun. Add to this that our whole town was there and so that was even more special. One of the coaching staff for one of the colleges was also a former player that I hadn't seen in so long. We were able to have a good talk after the game.

To all of you that coach at any level, this is a neat experience! I hope you all get to enjoy it once in your lives. agree

Coach - That is great to hear what the experience meant to you. As a parent, I love to watch former teammates of my son's play. I'm hoping to get to see either some intrasquads this fall or see them play next spring. I also can tell you from a player's perspective that it means a great deal to have a former coach there. Son always was very touched to have one present and I'm sure would love to have the opportunity to perform for his former HS coaches at the college level. That's great that you care so much! clap

I don't know if they will be matched up again against each other. Both are great kids. While watching the game, it was exciting to watch how both are maturing both physically and with their skills. One struck out the sides in his limited outing. Both were only allowed to throw 3 innings. The former player that was coaching is a former player that was very close to me and played AAA Ball for various organizations. It was nice to see him around the game again after a rough year this past year. One year, I had several players playing for one team. They played for Southwest Missouri State and 4 started the same game. THAT WAS VERY SPECIAL.
