So I coach a 18U travel team and we participated in an event this weekend...we are not a big organization so I know exactly which kids were there and those who were not. A parent sent me the below this morning. Funny thing is...the kid who got the email wasn't there. Just a little mid afternoon humor for an otherwise boring Monday.
"I had the chance to see you play this past weekend at location XXX. You fit the mold both in the classroom and on the field of the type of player that we are looking for. We currently have 7 spots remaining in our 2016 recruiting class and I wanted to take this moment to invite you to attend our camp. We use our summer camps to sign between 2 and 3 players a year and this year will be no different. If you have any interest in becoming a XXXX, there is no better way to go about it than attending our camp because our entire coaching staff gets to see you showcase yourself at the same time.
