ProBound Sports is sponsoring their 1st annual Christmas Pitcher/Catcher Camp on Saturday, December 12th, 2009 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, GA. The camp will be open to all children between the ages of 7-17. Players will be grouped by age. Spaces are limited so sign up soon. The cost is $60.00 for pre-registration and $75.00 at the gate.
Quality instruction will be provided by Kyle Heckathorn and Kenny Faulk, both formerly of Kennesaw State University. Kyle was a 2009 1st round draft pick for the Milwaukee Brewers and Kenny was a 16th round pick for the Detroit Tigers. Kenny was Conference Closer of the Year, at Kennewaw, for the Atlantic Sun Conference. He was also an All-Star pick for the New York-Penn League.
Understanding how the GHSA rules work, the camp would be a great opportunity for players to receive quality instruction before the season starts as they are unable to work directly with their high school coaches before February 1st, 2010.
