The Matt Anderson Baseball Academy will be hosting a Showcase Evaluation Camp on Monday, January 18, 2010 (Martin Luther King Day) at the Generation Sports Dome in Muncy, PA. The Camp will begin with Registration from 8:30am to 9:00am. The morning session will focus on evaluating each player's baseball skills. Positions players will run the 60 yard dash, field and throw from their repsective position, and hit in the cages. Pitchers will warmup and throw a bullpen for evaluation. The goal is to be able to give each player and honest assesment of his abilities.

The staff will include professional baseball scouts and college coaches. Penn State University Pitching Coach Jason Bell, Penn State University Recruiting Coordinator Eric Folmar and University of Cincinnati Assistant Coach Greg Mamula have agreed to join the staff. Pennsylvania Scouting Supervisor for the Major League Scouting Bureau Brad Fidler has also committed to be part of the staff. Matt Andeson - full time professional baseball scout for the Florida Marlins will anchor the staff. This camp is the first of its kind in central Pennsylvania and a great opportunity to learn and be evaluated by an elite staff of college coaches and professional scouts.
