I was recently invited to attend a pro tryout camp and I had a few questions about the structure and how they work. I am going to be going as a pitcher, so what do you think the schedule will be like for me?

At most TO camps you will throw a short pen maybe 20-25 pitches. Some clubs have pitchers face live batters but the norm is to throw a bullpen.

3tO - My son did a couple this summer. Both had differing formats for pitchers, but both had pitchers pitch to live batters. One of them though used the bullpen as a "qualifying" session and then kept you to pitch in a scrimmage or released you. From what I understand each club (when they are club tryouts) structures theirs differently. I would think the scout that is in charge of your particular one could give you a heads up on the format. This is a great way to get some exposure for FREE plus you just never know!!!!
