Pro Tryout Camps with Issues
1) MLB team tryout camp, no problem with the actual camp, just that one of the tryout camp players walked off with something to remember the tryout camp from, the MLB scouts radar gun.
2)A league wide tryout camp, where the they forgot to place someone at the start line on the 60 yard dash. Players started taking extra steps closer making it a 55 yard dash. Times of 6.2-6.3 seconds should have alerted someone. Another problem, the finish line was the warning track, and players cross the finish line and then crashed into the fence.
3)One team tryout camp. The scout showed up 1 hour late, did not have enough registration forms for the 110 players that showed up. Then interviews every player individually about their medical history before the camp starts.
7.5 hour camp with no BP either.
4)Bureau Camp where 330 players showed up. 70 pitchers despite having 4 mounds. Only use two mounds. Let players and parents on the field during the tryout camp. Many nailed with errant throws during infield/outfield throwing. No cuts were made.BP gave every player 2 swings then out.
