Do D2, D3 & JC coaches give time in July to let the D1 coaches do their thing and get the higher level players or do they jump right in and compete and go after those same guys knowing that D1 programs will have an edge on them?

Also my son has received lots of unsolicited letters (top D1 programs, lower level D1, and JC) since July 1 but no calls. Is this a bad sign? He rather receive letters than nothing but was hoping to get some calls. Also we are confused about the different level of teams he gets mail from.

part one--- once the bell sounds they are all out there looking and talking D-II, III and JUCO coaches may shy away from players who they know they have no chance at all on getting but they are out therer working hard

part two--no calls is not a bad sign but it main mean that is is not on the main tier of players but rather at the second tier--you say you are confused by the letters you are getting-- they are usually the proof of what level your son can play at

hope this helps
