Imagine their first day up ...

Cars parked in the middle of the street. Horns honking every 10 seconds. People crossing at every light and corner. Street vendors and people traffic everywhere. And….

Me.

Born and raised in Philly until I was 25. I moved to the west coast. for the weather and the beaches. Philly is a working class city and great sports town with passionate fans. I'm glad Nola figured that out.

Great read RJM, thanks for sharing.

Unless you have a slump longer than 2 days, then you get booed out of the stadium.

Back 2005 Mojo, a now defunct cable network covered the AAA season of six top D’backs prospects. They all made it to the majors. Two of them, Carlos Quentin and Chris Young stuck and made names for themselves. The others were infielder Brian Barden up with the Cardinals, pitcher Bill Murphy up with the Jays, pitcher Dustin Nippert up with the Rangers and pitcher Casey Daigle, aka Mr Jenny Finch did the AAAA shuttle with the D’backs.

Midseason Quentin got called up. They showed him receiving his per diem for his first road trip. His response was to exclaim, “Damn! My expense money in The Show is more than my paycheck in the minors.”
