Thrive on throwing is more of an arm conditioning and mental approach type of thing. Is the combat pitching thing from Ron Wolforth? If so I believe it would be more specific and include more drills, etc. I believe, that Trevor Bauer, the kid who passed up his senior season in HS to be a top notch college pitcher at UCLA this season worked with Wolforth quite a deal. He also worked with Alan Jaeger who wrote Thrive on Throwing. I believe the two can be complimentary.

Why not just google combat pitcher and thrive on throwing and see what you get?

It is Ron Wolforth's program and I have heard good things about it.

I have always wanted to go to one (with my son) but we have been too busy when the programs were offered. I was also hesitant to spend all of the money and take my boy from California and watch him melt in the Houston heat in the summer.

Now that I am typing this you may also be referring to his DVD. Don't know about it.

If you do go let us know what you thought of the program.

The thrive on throwing program is by Jaeger Sports and I highly recommend it. When you purchase the DVD get the bands also. You will not be disappointed.
