Thanks in advance.

Chesterfield County schools are on Spring Break next week.

Interesting.  I would think the area scout could direct you on who to see while you are in town.  Could you share the first name of the NYY Area Scout? I know him pretty well.

With that being said,  no player from Manchester shows up on our follow list. I'm guessing this is a troll of someone looking for attention?

Ignore these "experts" on this board - they are nothing more than daddys who have an incredibly inflated sense of self.

Not sure if these comments caught you in a bad moment but I don't think anything posted is worthy of your sarcasm.

Bet he'll take their money though and be nice about it.

Most definitely worthy of my sarcasm.  Guy comes on here to ask about players worth seeing over spring break and the response he gets is a cavalcade of snark and cynicism from a group of people who hide behind anonymous nicknames.

Re-read the thread "springer80".  Totally rude and inappropriate and for what reason?  Because a little clique has decided that only they know who the prospects are?  Add to that the requests to prove that this guy is who he claims to be.... incredible hubris.  Even if this particular guy wasn't a scout then at the very least he is the exact same as everyone who put him on blast - just a guy with an internet connection.

This forum can be very informative.  It can also be very nasty and childish and from time to time I feel obligated to comment on that.

As for the insinuation that I am in it for the money - that's as ignorant a statement as I have ever witnessed on this board.  Our academy teams are run at cost.  The Cardinals are run at a personal deficit.  You have me confused with everyone else apparently.

But hey, wouldn't be the internet if there weren't ignorant trolls would it?

Since you didn't answer me, I'll assume the answer was directed at me.  I'll agree my response was snarky and cynical.  My response wasn't based on MY knowledge of who is and who isn't a prospect.   It was based on the lists provided by a couple of major league teams as compiled by the scouts in the area.

Ironically, there are only a few people actually care who I think is or isn't a prospect but I doubt it is anyone on this board.  Also, I've been wrong about a "prospect" before and will be again in the future.  So, I am not filled with hubris.

Based on my 12 years of experience on this website, someone who a) hasn't been on the site (less than 5 posts) b) claims to be a scout c) speaks of a prospect who doesn't show up on any MLB follow lists d) asks for random advice on this player ...tends to be a troll.  If he's not a troll, I'll be the first to apologize.  Either way, it is not rude, inappropriate, filled with hubris, nasty, nor ignorant as you have so freely thrown around.  With all of that being said, I don't think you are "in it for the money" although you do run a baseball business.

I don't hide who I am.  I am sure you know who I am.  Please feel free to call me anytime, especially if you have an issue with me.  Best of luck to you.

Coach Graham,

Apparently you and I have a different level of threshold for the remarks on this page.  From time to time comments on this site are in the category you noted but to call out everyone who commented on this site I still believe was unworthy but that's just a difference in our opinion.  For me I was a bit surprised to see a pro scout reach out to a forum like this for names which is why I didn't see anything out of line with redbird's inquiry.  However, I've never scouted for a living so it very well may be a usual means to gather this type of information.

If you are running that batting center at a deficit and spending your personal fortune to do so for the good of youth baseball than please accept my humblest and deepest apologies.

My sarcasm would be unwarranted and thus entirely misplaced.  Keep up the good work.
