PSAC

the PSAC plays tough baseball. Millersville West Chester, Seton Hill Merceyhurst, recently last handfull of years ESU and Blooms have been tough. Even Ship and some of the mid schools are tough games.

How do they compare to D1 some of the top teams are better other not. There has been more than one season that people in the know would have taken Millersville or West Chester roster over Penn State. On a wins level and competing for Champs it is not close.

All the PSAC schools that i am familiar with are on the lower side of cost. West Chester is the high end I know of at about 25 or 28k, many considerably less. You will get some scholarship money but it isn't a huge deal maybe up 5k or there about and again the price points are pretty low so money isn't the objective.

It is a solid state school league with real good baseball.

I live in West Chester, PA ... and second the opinion that the PSAC is good baseball.
You will want to consider ...

* is the PSAC school public or private,
* how much has the school used the transfer portal the last couple years
* do you have an interest being closer Philadelphia or closer to Pittsburg.

some of the PSAC schools have a cold NE winter ... some more mild mid-atlantic like weather.

It's good baseball.

The top 3 or 4 would most likely be competitive against a good amount of D1s in a one game setting. Two of mine at D1s have scrimmaged them in the fall. They hit, but once it got to the 4/5th bullpen arm you could see the difference.

A lot of fringe D1 players end up committing to PSAC schools and I don't believe it is actually any easier for them to get on the field.

If it were to come down to some lower level D1s vs PSAC schools I would be considering money and playing time more than I would the level.
