Hey, this past week my PSAT results came in. I did very well, the best out of all my friends, and much better than all of the other sophomore baseball players. I got a 178 total (86th Percentile), with a 59 on verbal (93rd), 67 on math (97th), and a 52 on writing (83rd).

Old SAT equivalent: 1260
New SAT equivalent: 1780

As a sophomore, this is the only type of test like this that I've taken, and many questionnaire's ask for PSAT scores, so I'm proud writing that in.

How does this compare to your scores/ your son's scores?

Those scores are a good start, and should be a pretty good predictor of your SAT. My son made 225 on the PSAT and 2230 (1470 M+V) on the SAT the first time he took it. Daughter made 231 on the PSAT and also made 2230 (1490 M+V) on the SAT the first time.

If you work hard you could easily be looking at 1400+ (M+V); 2000+ (M+V+W).
