Inquiring for a friend. I see they're pretty competitive w/in NAIA, other than being in a beautiful location, does anyone have other information? School or Baseball stuff? Thanks

They had a pitcher drafted this year named Mike Ekstrom. He transferred there from Oregon State.
I talked to Mike Eckstrom and two teammates last spring when we were visiting USD, and these players were really,really happy with PLNC. The girl in the concession stand loves it there, too.
Pt. Loma campus is beautiful, right above the ocean in San Diego. The school plays in the GSAC -- main competitors in baseball are Biola, Cal Baptist, the Master's College. The GSAC consists of small mostly faith-based schools.
The baseball facility overlooks the water and is top-notch. The school has upgraded all of the athletic facilities over the past few years. Last year's team lost in the NAIA semi-finals. The team wais a mixture 4 year and JC recruits. If I recall - one freshman played quite a bit last year -- the DH.
The Head coach has left -- I'm not certain who the new head coach is.
The school is a conservative Christian college (once operated by the Nazarene faith). School policy requires students to issue a statement of faith as well as agreeing to several faith based behaviors (i.e. refraining from alcohol, ***, etc) while enrolled.
