Puma National Tryouts

Can someone give me some information about these tryouts and is it a big deal to get an invite????

My son was invited 2 years ago. there was no tryout. He had a great time and received some nice PUMA stuff but, it was a very expensive weekend. It was held in Arizona. There weren't any colleges or scouts there. His very expensive glove was also stolen.
