I flew under the radar in hs and now attending local communtity college. I'm lhp and recently gained significant speed on my fastball while at the same time losing command of my curveball which at one time what my number one pitch.
Heres where I'm at now
6'3 180 LHP
87-90 mph fastball
decent splitter gets groundballs
below average curveball
through hs and summer ball i average 3-4 walks per 7 innnings so I don't exactly have pinpoint control.

I know it is hard to judge a player without seeing them but going by the description i gave where can i expect to end up playing in the next 1-2 years? What are some good ways to gain exposure, are there showcases for juco athletes?

Thanks

Welcome to HSBBW hondaeater,

There are showcases for the JC's here in California for those high profile sophomores in the fall. If looked like the coaches sent a couple of players to them, you may want to ask your coach if NY has the same things.

You should continue to work hard and get your control under control as well as master your off speed pitches, as well as, condition to help increase your velocity though it is still good.

Your advancement is up to you on how hard you work.

Did you have your grades in order and did you register with the NCAA Clearinghouse, if so, you should make it a point to contact 4 years schools if you are interested in transferring after the spring, if not contact the schools over the summer so you can possibly get hooked at early signing next year.

Good luck!
