I agree with Dulles Mustangs -- BIV is a very good camp, and the kids are worked very hard; it's all baseball all the time, with a little time off in the evenings for typical goof-off stuff. My son went to this camp in his rising junior and rising senior summers, and got a lot out of it. Many of the Virginia colleges send one or two coaches to scout, and there are also coaches who work and scout the camp not only from Virginia but also from Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, etc. It's run by Coach Womack from UVA, and has been for many years; very well-run, lots of college exposure for the kids, and lots of drillwork and game situations, with showcase games in the last two days of the camp.

My son ended up getting noticed by the college he's now attending, in his first year of attending BIV; they stayed in touch over the next 2 years, and ultimately made him the offer he accepted. Don't expect to see the highest of top-level D-I schools represented there, but a Virginia kid, especially if he's a 2012 grad, can't go wrong getting this kind of exposure early in the process.
BIV enters its 25th year as one of the nation's oldest showcase experiences.

Featuring a time-honored and rigorous 4.5 day format, a 5:1 prospect to instructor ratio, and an instructional staff across all levels of collegiate baseball (JuCo, NAIA, NCAA I, II, III), BIV is designed for the highly committed player who aspires to improve and be recruited for attitude and ability.

Through the years, the success of the BIV is grounded in a highly organized and comprehensive format complimented by an outstanding instructional staff.
