Personally I believe that anything that goes on before leg lift is wasted motion. And I believe in eliminating unnecessary movements as that makes a delivery easier to repeat. So I favor an abbreviated wind up or throwing everything out of the stretch for reasons stated above. There is no right or wrong way to do it - that’s just my preference (and it’s based on what made me successful).
