FWIW,

From a strict baseball look...

There are many outstanding players in Canada. Most (not all) of the top high school baseball players in Canada travel throughout the USA in hopes of creating interest with USA colleges and MLB scouts. Most of the real talented Canadian players that attend college, attend colleges and play college baseball in the states.

I don't know much about academics at the Canadian colleges, but college baseball is much better here, if that is of much importance.
I live in Ontario and I played college baseball on the states much of what PG said is true. Also note that there are no athletic scholarships for baseball in the OUA. The only school I'd ever consider playing for is UBC in British Columbia and it plays in the NAIA. I looked at schools in Ontario if I wasn't going to play College ball and the academics are quite well and very challenging, but it just doesn't compare collegiately for the game. The games aren't scouted heavily and the talent is not that great especially if your paying thousands of dollars to essentially play and go to school.

Feel free to PM me for more information or if you have any specific questions.
