I know that at any college, any recruited athlete with qualified academic stats will have a strong chance at admissions into that school. However, I am a bit confused about Penn. As some of you may know, Penn undergrad is divided into four sections: the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the Nursing School, and Wharton. Of these four, Wharton is considered the most difficult to gain admission into. Furthermore, there are dual enrollment programs at Penn that are even more difficult to get into. The one that I am most interested in is the Jerome Fisher Program of Management and Technology.
I have a few questions regarding all of this:
1) DO athletic recruits at Penn have any say over which school they can apply to/get into?
2) Does an athletic recruit need higher academic qualifications to get into Wharton than they do at the other 3?
3) Does an athletic recruit stand stronger chances at being admitted into one of Penn's dual enrollment programs?
I would like to perhaps play baseball for Penn someday but I am mostly interested in Wharton or perhaps the Jerome Fisher Program; I am not very drawn to Penn's other 3 undergrad colleges.
