Hey all, this is my first post to the site, even though I have been following this site for quite some time now. I have a son who has had three in-home visits so far with area scouts from three different teams. I had a couple questions regarding this whole process and was hoping some of you guys could add your thoughts and answer some of my questions.
1. How many in-home visits did you or your son have with pro scouts and did he end up getting drafted?
2. Does the number of in-home visits reflect how high or low you could possibly go in the draft? (Hence if one kid has 10 in-home visits compared to a kid who had 2 in-home visits, will the kid with 10 visits get drafted higher?
3. When did most of your in-home visits occur? For example in the fall or the winter, or during the high school season?
4. Did you ever have in-home visits with higher ranking scouts such as cross-checkers or scouting directors?
5. Do some scouts not do any home visits?
Thanks to everybody who reads this and to anybody who has any input, it is much appreciated. Thanks again.
